Over 600 quintals sugar seized in Chhattisgarh
January 19th, 2010 - 11:26 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, Jan 19 (IANS) Chhattisgarh’s food and drugs department conducted raids for the second consecutive day Tuesday in the state capital and seized 640 quintals sugar stocked illegally.
“We seized about 640 quintals sugar in simultaneous raids carried out in Raipur against hoarders,” Food Controller D. Minj told IANS. The department had seized some 2,800 quintal sugar Monday.
