Over 1,000 unauthorised Delhi colonies to be regularised
June 25th, 2010 - 12:29 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 24 (IANS) Delhi Urban Development Minister A.K. Walia said Thursday that the cases of over 1,000 unauthorised colonies will be taken up in October for formal regularisation.
Cases of formal regularisation of as many as 1,639 unauthorised colonies, which were given provisional regularisation certificates in 2008, are pending with the city government.
Walia said the regularisation of colonies will ensure that civic amenities reaches lakhs of residents who till now have been deprived of the benefits of planned development.
