Oriental Insurance launches health policy for PNB customers
May 24th, 2010 - 9:31 pm ICT by IANSChennai, May 24 (IANS) Oriental Insurance Monday launched a unique health insurance scheme for account holders of the Punjab National Bank (PNB).
“The policy covers the insurance proposer, spouse and two dependent children. Persons up to 80 years of age can be covered under the policy,” PNB executive director Nagesh Pydah told reporters, launching the policy here.
The state-owned general insurer and the PNB had entered into a bancassurance deal - distribution of insurance policies by banks - last year.
Oriental Insurance’s deputy general manager G. Anandan said insurance cover is available from Rs.100,000 to Rs.500,000 on floater basis - for a single sum insured the family is covered - and the premium is uniform across all age groups.
