OPEC crude price continues to slide

Vienna, July 25 (DPA) The price for crude oil produced by the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) fell for the ninth day in a row Thursday, data released by the OPEC Friday showed. One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC-produced crude stood at $122.42 Thursday, down $1.47 from $123.89 the previous day.

OPEC calculates an average basket price based on 13 important brands produced by cartel members.
