Rawalpindi, Apr 21 (ANI): President Pervez Musharraf on Monday said Islamabad would continue to support the war on terror, adding that only Pakistani forces would be given permission to operate within the country.
Musharraf told visiting British Foreign Secretary David Miliband, who met him at the presidential camp office here, that Pakistan was fighting the war on terror in it’s own national interests, and was paying a heavy price for it.
Musharraf further said that the western media are under wrong impression that the allied forces have right to operate within Pakistan.
Miliband reiterated that the Gordon Brown Government would extend its full support to Pakistan to improve law and order in the restive tribal and border areas.
According to The News, Musharraf and Miliband have discussed regional situation, the war against terrorism and other matters. (ANI)
