ONGC pays Rs.6,844 crore as dividend (Business Capsule-Two)

New Delhi, Sep 23 (IANS) State-run upstream major Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) Wednesday said it has paid Rs.6,844 crore as dividend for 2008-09.
“ONGC shareholders approved a dividend payment of of Rs.14 a share, which along with the interim dividend of Rs.18 a share totals to Rs.32 a share. In absolute terms, this amounts to Rs.6,844 crore,” the company said in a regulatory statement.

Unitech Wireless now Uninor

New Delhi: Unitech Wireless Wednesday said it will brand its services as “Uninor” to create a unified portrait of the expertise of its two promoter-companies — Telenor of Norway and Unitech of India — in a common brand identity.

Thiruvananthapuram: City-based solutions provider IBS Software Wednesday said it has retained the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 and TickIT international certifications.

The quality management certifications were awarded after a “surveillance audit” conducted by DNV (Det Norske Veritas), one of the leading certification bodies in the world.
