NSL wins wind farm award
February 7th, 2012 - 12:26 am ICT by IANSHyderabad, Feb 6 (IANS) NSL Renewable Power Private Limited (NRPPL), part of NSL Group, has bagged the best operating wind farm award from Indian Wind Power Association (IWPA) for the third time.
The award was presented Monday during the third international wind conference and exhibition at Coimbatore, said a statement by the Hyderabad-based company.
The 28 MW Jagalur wind farm located in Karnataka had earlier won this award for 2006-07 and 2009-10.
“Winning the award for the third time, demonstrates the efficiency of NSL Renewable Power in general and its wind power vertical in particular. This adds further to our vision of wind being on par with other renewable resources by acknowledging wind energy as efficient and competitive,” said Mandava Prabhakar Rao, Chairman, NSL Group.
NRPPL has about 162 MW of installed capacity in renewable energy comprising of 150 MW of wind power and two bio-mass plants of 6 MW each.
