Now test LG’s products at its demonstration zones

Kolkata, July 27 (IANS) LG Business Solutions will soon launch its demonstration zones, where users can have a real time experience of the features of its various products, in India to achieve a total turnover of Rs.800 crore and a market share of 17 percent in the segment by 2011.

The company will initially open demo zones in the metros and target the ‘A’ category cities of the country.

The company has already invested about Rs.20 crore for marketing.

LG has recently forayed into the technology solutions segment for business verticals such as hospitality, banking, retail, security solutions, education and quick service restaurants (QSR). The brand has introduced products like LED Video Wall, Procentric TV and 3D FHD cinema projectors.

“We would take both the direct selling and channel partner route to market these products,” said D.P. Kim, group marketing head, business-to-business (B2B), LG India, here Wednesday.

Videos walls are produced in Korea, and other products are manufactured in its plants in Noida and Pune. The company has its software development solution centre for hospitality management in Bangalore.

“We have tied up with solution providers like Neuteric Technologies, Mahindra Associates, CPS technologies and Kolkata-based company Unisecure, among many others,” said Hemendu Sinha, business head, B2B solutions, LG Electronics India.

LG B2B Solutions currently has a market share of 22 percent in display market, 8 percent in projectors and 2.5 percent in security solutions.
