NMDC signs deal with MECON for Chhattisgarh project
February 24th, 2011 - 10:42 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, Feb 24 (IANS) NMDC Ltd, India’s largest iron ore producer and exporter in public sector, has signed a deal with MECON for rendering engineering consultancy services to its upcoming steel project in Chhattisgarh, a company statement said Thursday.”NMDC signed an agreement with MECON for rendering engineering consultancy services for setting up of 3.0 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MPTA) integrated steel plant of NMDC at Nagarnar in Chhattisgarh,” a press statement said.
The release added that the contract was signed Wednesday at NMDC head office in Hyderabad.
The Nagarnar plant, for which land acquisition has been completed, will come up in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region, some 300 km south of here.
