Tokyo, May 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Close on the heels of Toyota and Honda, Nissan is all set to recall Infiniti G35 sedans and coupes, because of an issue with their airbags. The company officials said that the issue is actually with the wiring harness that links the seatbelt tension sensor. And the faulty wiring harness could prevent the airbag from deploying, when there is any sort of mishap with the vehicle. The wire can wear out and this can in turn cause delay in deployment time of the air bag during clash. The recall is going to affect around 135,000 vehicles.

Nissan company officials said that the recall would affect all its 2005-2007 models of G35 Coupes and 2005-2006 models of G35 Sedans. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that the company had still not come up with a concrete plan about how it was going to fix the problem. They also divulged that the company officials said that the plan would be finalized in May, and the recall would start in June 2010. Nissan would issue formal notices to all the affected car owners next month.
