Shimla, July 10 (IANS) The Himachal Pradesh government Thursday cleared the proposals of nine companies which would attract an investment of over Rs.10 billion ($255 million). Director of industries Manoj Kumar told IANS that these proposals to set up new industrial units in the state were cleared at a meeting of the single-window clearance and monitoring authority presided over by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.
He said the nine proposals, which would attract an investment of Rs.10.95 billion ($255 million), would provide an employment to over 3,100 people.
He added that Met Trade India Ltd would invest Rs.4.97 billion, while Plaza General Cable Energy Ltd would invest Rs.1.42 billion.
