NHPC quarterly net profit rises 40 percent
October 28th, 2011 - 3:52 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 28 (IANS) State-run hydropower firm NHPC Friday reported a 40 percent increase in net profit at Rs.966.5 crore for the quarter ended Sep 30 as against Rs.690.2 crore during the like period of the previous financial year.
Net sales stood at Rs.1,830.7 crore during the quarter, up 47.6 percent against Rs.1,240.4 crore during the like period of the previous financial year, the company said in a regulatory filing.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company were 4.22 percent up to trade at Rs.24.70.
