November 3rd, 2010 - 7:51 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Nov 3 (IANS) New electricity metres being installed in urban and rural areas will help Punjab save 400 MW of power by next year, state power corporation officials said here Wednesday.
Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) Chairman-cum-Managing Director K.D. Chaudhary said over 1.9 million (19 lakh) electricity metres in urban areas and over 3.18 mn (31.88 lakh) in rural areas were being shifted to pillar boxes by Dec 2010 and March 2011 respectively.
