New Jersey high-tech manufacturer to open a facility in Pennsylvania
March 10th, 2010 - 6:55 am ICT by BNO NewsHARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA (BNO NEWS) – A New Jersey-based high-tech manufacturer will open a state-of-the-art facility in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, Governor Edward Rendell announced on Tuesday.
The new facility will create 53 jobs. Voltaix LLC will move its gas and chemical production operations to the $22 million project at the Portland Industrial Park. Pennsylvania will contribute with a $2.76 million investment to the project that includes the construction of a production plant, warehouse and office building. The funding comes from the Department of Community and Economic Development.
“Voltaix’s decision to move to Pennsylvania shows that our economic development programs continue to work,” Gov. Rendell said.
Voltaix LLC is a leading producer of specialty materials that enhance the performance and manufacturability of microelectronics and photovoltaics. Voltaix materials enable logic chips to compute more quickly and solar cells to absorb more of the solar spectrum.
