Munda begins third leg of road check in Maoist areas
January 20th, 2012 - 6:32 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Ranchi, Jan 20 (IANS) Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda Friday began the third leg of road inspection in six Maoist-hit districts.
Munda will inspect roads and review development works in Ranchi, Lohardagga, Gumla, Simega, Khuti and West Singhbhum districts.
He began his road inspection amid tight security arrangements in Lohardagga district. His three vehicles are bullet-proof and one vehicle is equipped with latest equipment to jam any landmine in one km area.
“The focus is on road, power and water in the districts. We have to understand the grassroots problems and redress them,” Munda told IANS.
