New Delhi, July 5 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Tuesday deferred till July 8 the hearing on the interim bail plea of Cineyug Films founder Karim Morani, who is in jail for alleged involvement in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.

Justice Ajit Bharihoke announced the decision after he saw Morani’s MRI report.

Not satisfied with Morani’s MRI report and finding it incomplete, the court rapped the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

“The medical report, which is placed on record, has simply annexed the MRI and radiological test reports without any opinion of the doctors,” said Justice Bharihoke, directing the CBI to file a comprehensive report on the health of Morani within three days.

A CBI special court here earlier ordered the arrest of Morani, named co-conspirator in the 2G spectrum allocation scam, after dismissing his bail plea May 30. Morani first appeared in the court May 24, a day after his anticipatory bail was dismissed.

The CBI named Morani a co-conspirator in a charge sheet after it traced an illegal money trail of Rs.214 crore in the scam.
