New Orleans, Mar 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The police have found the body of the missing Houston executive who had been last sighted in New Orleans on Friday. Douglas Schantz’s body was found in the Mississippi river, and has been pulled out. All his credit cards and expensive possessions were found on his body, so the police think that they can rule out foul play. Bob Young, who belongs to the New Orleans police department, says that the police are of the opinion that the missing executive Douglas Schantz drowned accidentally in the Mississippi river.
It may be recalled that Doug was last seen in a Bourbon Street bar on Friday, at around 2 am. Doug Schantz was the president of the Sequent Energy Management prior to his disappearance. Peter Tumminello who is the executive vice president of Sequent has taken over Doug’s duties. It was also reported that he had also gone to Houston, because he wanted to make a personal donation of $25,000 to his daughter’s university. A colleague who was present with Doug said that after dinner, they left for a bar in Bourbon Street. He left the bar at around 2 am in the morning, was also seen in a security tape on the river dock. The police also noted that he looked drunk and disoriented.
