“The Bangalore facility will focus on product development and applied research in web search and online advertising, with over 200 employees,” Microsoft vice president for online services division (OSD) Satya Nadella told reporters here.
Majority of the employees has joined from Yahoo! as part of Microsoft-Yahoo! search alliance.

Post-transition, both the companies’ unified search marketplace will deliver cutting edge software solutions to advertisers and better monetization opportunities to web publishers.
