Washington, May 14 (ANI): Michael Moore is working on a sequel to his successful documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 according to a story posted on the director’s website.
The new film will be a follow-up to its predecessor, examining America’s position as an industrialised nation and world power since the attacks of September 11, 2001, reports Variety.
Fahrenheit 9/11, a scathing critique of US President George W Bush and his decision to go to war in Iraq and a hit at the worldwide box office, won the coveted Palme d’Or at Cannes in 2004.
The Oscar-winning director will attend the Cannes Film Festival in France this week in support of the as-yet-unnamed project, promoting the film to potential buyers.
Moore has teamed up with Overture Films and Paramount Vantage, which will co-produce and co-finance the sequel.
Overture will release the film in the US and Vantage will control international rights and promotion. (ANI)
