Metro train connecting Delhi, Gurgaon starts
June 21st, 2010 - 10:11 am ICT by IANSGurgaon, June 21 (IANS) The metro rail service on the New Delhi-Gurgaon route started Monday morning, ending the long wait of commuters for an effective transport system connecting the national capital and its satellite town.
The first metro trains began from Qutub Minar in south Delhi and the HUDA City Centre in Gurgaon simultaneously at 8 a.m.
Staff of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and some passengers were seen on the 14.47 km stretch metro.
