Metro to run curtailed train services on I-Day
August 14th, 2009 - 9:01 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 14 (IANS) Delhi Metro will run curtailed services on the Independence Day Saturday and no parking facility will be available at stations for commuters till afternoon, a Delhi Metro Road Corporation (DMRC) official said Friday.
“The Metro trains will run as per normal timings starting 6.00 a.m. in the morning till 11.00 p.m. As per the holiday schedule frequency, the train services will be lesser,” DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal told IANS.
Dayal also said that in keeping with strict security measures in the national capital, no parking facility will be available at Metro stations till 2 p.m.
“In view of security restrictions on the Independence Day, no parking facilities will be available at the Metro stations till 2.00 p.m.,” Dayal said.
