Mercedes launches like super sports car SLS AMG
July 16th, 2010 - 7:59 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 16 (IANS) Mercedes-Benz India Friday launched its super sports car SLS AMG, priced between Rs.2 and Rs.2.5 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).
The SLS AMG is powered by a 6.2 litre engine and it can go up to a maximum speed of 317 km per hour.
“It embodies passion, performance, design, technology and engineering excellence values that make us one of the most exciting brands in the world today,” said Wilfried Aulbur, chief executive, Mercedes-Benz India.
The aviation-inspired sports car, whose doors are designed like gullwing, already has 10 bookings from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Ahmedabad.
With this launch, India became the first right hand drive market to have the SLS AMG. The car was showcased in Auto Expo 2010.
