Maytas Infra registers 172 percent growth in 2007-08June 30th, 2008 - 8:37 pm ICT by IANS
Hyderabad, June 30 (IANS) Maytas Infra Ltd, a Hyderabad-based infrastructure development company, has registered 172 percent growth during 2007-08. The company reported a turnover of Rs.16.37 billion ($390 million) for the year against Rs.6.01 billion last fiscal, said an official statement here Monday.
Maytas also reported a net profit of Rs.996.4 million in 2007-08 against Rs.530 million of the previous year.
The basic earning per share (EPS) for the period under review was Rs.18.44 against Rs.10.62 in 2006-07. The board of directors recommended an equity dividend of 15 percent (Rs.1.50 per equity shares) subject to the approval of shareholders at ensuing annual general meeting.
The order book of the company stood at Rs.62.31 billion as on May 31, 2008.
“The strong performance in fiscal 2008 is a culmination of company’s focus on strengthening the systems and processes and are in line with our mission of being one of the top three infra companies in the country,” Maytas Infra vice-chairman B. Teja Raju said.
Maytas, which currently employs 2,350 professionals, bagged the ‘fastest growing construction companies in India’ award in 2007 that is given by Construction World and National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR).
