Mumbai, March 16 (IANS) Indian equities pulled back into the green Monday afternoon after having slipped into the red around noon. A key index was ruling almost two percent higher about an hour before the closing bell.
The 30-scrip Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensitive index (Sensex), which opened at 8,793.89 points, was at 8,923.85 points - a rise of 172.395 points or 1.97 percent from its previous close.
Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 2.05 percent from its last close to rule at 2,775 points.
The BSE midcap index was ruling 2.06 percent higher, while the BSE smallcap index was up 1.85 percent.
