Mumbai, June 10 (IANS) The Indian equities market for the second consecutive day continued its downslide and closed in the red Tuesday. The 30-share benchmark of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensitive index (Sensex) opened at 14,979.96 points, and touched a low of 14,645.31 before closing at 14,889.25 points. It went down 176.85 points, or at the day’s close by 1.17 percent.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) S&P Nifty, which opened at 4522.00 points, closed at 4449.80 points. It went down by 51.15 points or 1.14 percent.
