Major fire in leather goods warehouse
May 30th, 2011 - 2:24 pm ICT by IANSFarrukhabad (Uttar Pradesh), May 30 (IANS) Goods worth lakhs of rupees were gutted after a major fire enveloped a warehouse of leather goods in a densely populated area here Monday, an official said.
“It was a major fire that could be brought under control only after four hours of fire fighting,” fire officer R.K. Bajpai said in Farrukhabad, some 200 km from Lucknow.
“All the workers trapped in the warehouse were rescued safely with the help of police and locals,” he added.
