Mahindra Satyam driving FIFA World Cup’s software network
June 11th, 2010 - 7:44 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 11 (IANS) Mahindra Satyam is the official information technology service provider for the FIFA World Cup Soccer and has developed the event management solutions with some complex software for one of the most watched sporting events in the world.
“These solutions are enriching the experience of all fans arriving in stadiums to watch the 64 matches and ensuring seamless movement of all delegates, staff and volunteers,” the company said, ahead of the tournament’s kick-off in South Africa Friday.
The company’s applications for the tournament cover systems for accreditation, space and material management, transportation, volunteer management, infrastructure, intranet and extranet at the veues, apart from helpdesk services.
Mahindra Satyam is one of the eight World Cup sponsors and the only one from India. It joins hands with seven other firms — America’s Budweiser, Castrol, Continental and McDonald’s, South Africa’s MTN and South Korea’s Yingli Solar — as sponsors.
The tournament also has six partners in names like Adidas, Coca-Cola, Emirates, Sony, Hyundai and Visa, apart from six national supporters drawn from South Africa.
