Mahindra launches mini-truck
January 5th, 2010 - 5:28 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Jan 5 (IANS) Tractor-to-sports utility vehicle maker Mahindra and Mahindra Tuesday unveiled the Maxximo mini-truck that is powered by a two-cylinder engine.
“With the launch of Maxximo, we want to elevate the transport business to the next level,” said Pawan Goenka, president of the company’s automotive division.
Mahindra, however, didn’t divulge the price of the vehicle.
The company also claimed that Maxximo had the world’s most advanced engine in the mini-truck segment and boasted of a load capacity of 850 kilograms.
The commercial launch will take place later this month.
In addition to the mini-truck, the group displayed various versions of the Xylo, its multi-utility offering, apart from two-wheeler models Duro and Rodeo launched late last year.
