bernie June 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Prison-mates of Bernie Madoff have reportedly been privy to the Ponzi schemer’s secret stash stories, in which he claims to have sent $9 billion to three undisclosed location before he was arrested, according to The New York Post.

In a story which was told to the New York Post by one of Madoff’s fellow inmates, it is reported that Madoff claims to have sent nine billion dollars worth of funds which he had swiped from his clients to three different people just before being taken into custody. Madoff also stated that his “partner in crime”, Frank Di’Pascali knows the location of the cash in question and is most likely using the information to cut a deal with the prosecutor, or to make a more lenient deal with the feds.

The inmate at the medium security prison in Butner, NC, where Madoff resides added, “I think it was personal friends,” when asked whom he thought received the money. DiPascali has pleaded guilty to ten felonies connected to the Ponzi Scheme case of Madoff’s. They were accused of cheating investors out of over 60 billion dollars in the scheme through the Manhattan financial firm.

Although Madoff is serving a life sentence, and is 72 years old, the 52 year old DiPascali is trying to avoid spending the rest of his life in prison, by cooperating with the prosecutors.
