L&T bags Rs.700-crore order
September 30th, 2010 - 3:18 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi Sep 30 (IANS) Engineering and construction major Larsen and Toubro (L&T) Thursday said it has got orders worth Rs.700 crore from various customers for construction-related works.
The largest order is of Rs.375 crore from Jabalpur Municipal Corporation for the construction of 210 km underground drains, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The project, funded under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission scheme, has to be executed within 30 months, it added.
The company has also received orders worth Rs.165 from Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation for providing facilities such as waste water collection, storm water drainage and similar works for the industrial estates located in Panipat and Rai.
This project has to be executed in 21 months.
Bhusan Steel has also awarded the company an order worth Rs.160 crore for the material handling works at their steel plant in Orissa which has to be executed in 16 months.
