New Delhi, June 24 (IANS) With wrist watches, clothes and lunch boxes piling up, Delhi Metro is now displaying all lost and found goods on its website.

The items can be accessed on www.delhimetrorail.com.

“Wrist watches, clothes and tiffin boxes are among thousands of lost items piling up at Delhi Metro stations,” Metro spokesman Anuj Dayal said Friday.

“So we have decided to upload details of these items on a daily basis under ‘Lost and Found’ section.”

He said about 10 items are lost and found at stations every day.

The website will detail date, time and name of station where an article was found along with a brief description.

“The passenger can approach the respective Metro station within 24 hours of its display on the website to claim the item,” Dayal said.

After 24 hours, these will be moved to the centralised ‘Lost and Found’ office at Kashmere Gate station.

Delhi Metro has 160 trains which make around 2,400 trips a day covering about 70,000 km. They carry about 1.5 million passengers on week days.
