‘Lexus car is most likely to be attacked by vandal’
April 23rd, 2011 - 7:04 pm ICT by ANILondon, April 23 (ANI): A research has found that the car most likely to be targeted by vandals in Britain is a Lexus.
Japan’s upmarket Lexus IS tops the first vehicle vandalism index, compiled from analysis of thousands of vandalism claims.
It is followed by the BMW Z4 sports car and then the Mini ONE, reports the Daily Mail.
Most vehicles in the top ten are sports cars and prestige cars, with the Audi TT coupé and BMW X5 off-roader both featuring.
But the more mainstream Skoda Octavia and Mazda MX-5 also find their way on to the list.
The index is based on analysis of about 2,000 claims for vandalism and malicious damage among the UK vehicles insured by online insurer swiftcover.com last year.
Researchers took into account numbers of the cars on the road.
The analysis found that luxury brands were consistently targeted more than any other.
BMW, Audi and Mercedes Benz were the marques most likely to be maliciously damaged, followed by VW. (ANI)
