Montgomery, Jan 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A group of judges acting on the instruction from their client have brought a class action suit against Taco Bell for false claims in advertisements. The suit was filed by the Montgomery law firm of Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methyin, Portis & Miles.

The suit claims that Taco Bell’s ground beef products contain less than 35 percent of beef. The suit claimed that Taco Bell mixes “extenders” to ensure that they gain competitive advantage over their rivals. The suit claimed that the resultant product does not meet the minimum standard of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The suit said that, “Rather than beef, these foods are actually made with a substance known as ‘taco meat filling.”

However the president of Taco Bell, in a statement categorically denied that the company had done anything wrong. The statement threatened legal action although it failed to state what king of legal action it will be.

The statement read that, “At Taco Bell, we buy our beef from the same trusted brands you find in the supermarket…We are proud of the quality of our beef and identify all the seasoning and spice ingredients on our Website.”
