L&T; bags orders worth Rs.1,629 crore
November 2nd, 2011 - 8:12 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Nov 2 (IANS) Engineering and constructions major Larsen and Toubro Wednesday said that its building and factories segment has bagged orders worth Rs.1,629 crore during the past four months.
“A major design and build order worth Rs.900 crore was secured for the construction of a major IT campus facility during the end of the second quarter,” the company said in a regulatory filing.
“The third quarter ushered in new orders worth Rs.729 crore for the construction of a commercial building, university, residential towers and an automobile factory from various customers,” it added.
According to the company, these orders further enhance the order book of the company which has already secured major design and build contracts for airports, IT Parks, commercial and residential projects in India and abroad.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company closed 0.21 percent lower at Rs.1,387.30.
