Koutons to open 100 new stores this fiscal
November 26th, 2009 - 5:30 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Nov 26 (IANS) Retail apparel firm Koutons India plans to open 100 new stores and expects revenue to grow by 35 percent this fiscal, a top official said here Thursday.
“We are planning to open at least 100 more stores, taking our retail chain’s strength to 1,500 stores,” Koutons Retail president Balvinder Singh Ahluwalia told IANS on the sidelines of an event here.
“We are on an expansion mode, and our franchise business model is doing well specially in tier II cities. This year even amid slowdown, we are expecting a growth of 30-35 percent,” he added.
In 2008-09, the company had posted a turnover of Rs.1,000 crore.
