Kolkata Metro services hit again
October 29th, 2010 - 1:25 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Oct 29 (IANS) Kolkata Metro services, which have faced a series of disruptions this month, were hit again Friday morning after a train developed a technical snag at a station.
“The Kavi Subhas-bound train, which started from Dum Dum station, reached Belgachia station and got stranded due to a technical snag,” Metro Railway chief spokesperson Pratyush Ghosh told IANS.
“The emergency brake got stuck with the wheels of the newly-inducted air-conditioned metro rake,” he added.
Ghosh said smoke emitted from beneath the rake. The empty rake was later taken to a car-shed at Tollygunge for checking.
