Kingfisher advances check-in by 10 minutes in six cities (Lead)
July 20th, 2010 - 9:38 pm ICT by IANSBangalore, July 20 (IANS) Kingfisher Airlines has advanced airport check-in counter timing for all domestic flights by 10 minutes in six cities - Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi- from Wednesday, the leading private carrier said Tuesday.
“The check-in counters in these six cities will close 40 minutes before the departure or 10 minutes earlier than they used to. Boarding gates will also close 15 minutes before departure for security reasons,” the airline said in a statement here.
To maintain punctuality and avoid delays, the airline said passengers should reach the airport well in time to check-in, proceed for security check and be at the boarding gate on time for departure.
“The change has also been necessitated to minimise operational disruptions and comply with the directions and procedures.
With effect from midnight Tuesday, the check-in counters for all domestic flights of Kingfisher Airlines departing from the six cities will now close 40 minutes before departure.
This effectively means that our check-in counters will close 10 minutes earlier than they used to.
