New York, May 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kids jewelry that was made in China has been recalled. Apparently the recall is being issued over concerns that the kid’s jewelry has very high levels of the extreme toxic cadmium. These recalled items were being sold exclusively at Claire’s and now they have been removed from the display area and the shelves as well. The products that are being recalled include the 19,000 ‘Best Friends’ collection. The Consumer Product Safety Commission said that independent tests had also been conducted and they also ratified that there were dangerously high level of the cadmium metal.

This recall is also effective for all the products that have been sold too. The users are being requested to bring them back to the store and get a refund. The chain that has very high levels of the metal cadmium has also being sold in North America and in Europe as well, and that too in around 3000 stores.

However the Consumer Product Safety Commission made it clear that so far no injuries or causalities have been reported, because of usage of the China made kids jewelry. And the safety regulator officials also added that they have intensified the X-ray screening process at the country’s entry points, in order to prevent the China made kids jewelry from coming into USA.
