Kesoram posts Rs.26 crore profit in Q4

Birla group company Kesoram Industries Wednesday posted a net profit of Rs.26.09 crore for the fourth quarter (January-March) of 2009-10 compared to Rs.159.22 crore in the corresponding period in 2008-09.It is a diversified conglomerate having interest in tyres, cement, rayon yarn and transparent paper.
The tyre division of the company suffered a loss of Rs.3.87 crore during the quarter against a profit of Rs.17.98 crore in the corresponding quarter in 2008-09, a statement to the National Stock Exchange said.
