KEC International bags Rs.31 crore order in water business
April 8th, 2011 - 2:32 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 8 (IANS) Power transmission major KEC International Friday said it has forayed into the water business and secured a Rs.31 crore order from the Madhya Pradesh water resource department.
“The project comprises renovation, repair and remodelling of a canal in Chhattarpur district of Madhya Pradesh,” the company said in a regulatory filing.
“The company intends to mark its presence in a complete chain of water treatment and water resource management, which includes irrigation, embankment, flood control and construction of dams, barrages, canals, tunnels etc,” it added.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company were up 1.47 percent to trade at Rs.86.25.
