KEC bags power projects worth Rs.460 mn in Madhya PradeshMarch 11th, 2008 - 7:02 pm ICT by admin
Mumbai, March 11 (IANS) KEC International Ltd, one of the world’s leading power transmission companies, announced Tuesday that it has bagged two power projects worth Rs.460 million ($11.4 million) in Madhya Pradesh. Both contracts were awarded by the Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (MPPTCL), KEC said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
According to the contract, the company will construct supply towers and commission transmission lines from Dewas to Ashta and at Jabalpur on turnkey basis.
Both projects, funded by Asian Development Bank (ABD), are scheduled to be completed by July 2009.
Ramesh Chandak, KEC chief executive officer and managing director, said the awarding of the power projects comes on the heels of the company’s recent bagging of $120 million project.
