Kabul civic body seeks MCD help
July 2nd, 2011 - 12:47 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 1 (IANS) A delegation from the Kabul Municipality headed by Deputy Mayor Khoghman Ulomi Friday met representatives of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to seek help in the civic development of the Afghan capital.
“The delegation from Kabul sought the help of MCD in rehabilitation, reconstruction, and speedy development of Kabul which has been damaged by recent disturbances. He sought the help of the civic body in capacity building programmes of people of Kabul, particulary for young people,” said a statement from the MCD.
“The MCD authorities assured him that MCD would help the Kabul Municipality in terms of manpower, equipment and skilled labour as decided at the Indian government level,” the statement added.
