“We have appointed Jurong as our master plan consultants. The land acquisition for the project is also on,” Sumanta Chaudhuri, chief executive of West Bengal Industrial Infrastructure Development Corp (WBIIDC), told reporters here Tuesday on the sidelines of a seminar.
The project would come up on 500 acres in Guptamoni, some 127 km from here.
“It will take another year or so to begin the construction work,” Chaudhuri said.
The park will be built on a public-private partnership basis.
The auto park is a joint venture project by WBIIDC and Bengal SREI Infrastructure Development.
