Joss Stone lands royal role in ”The Tudors”
August 6th, 2008 - 3:06 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Aug 6 (ANI): Singer Joss Stone is set to appear in the third series of historical TV drama ”The Tudors”, as the fourth wife of Henry VIII.
The soul star will star alongside actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who plays the British royal, as his fourth wife, Anne of Cleves, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The role is expected to be a brief one - as Henry was said to be disappointed with Anne’’s looks and so he annulled their marriage after six months.
The role will be the first major acting part for this British soul singer, who has had three gold albums in the United States. (ANI)
