Johnson Publishing Company Inc Gets A New CEO In Desiree Rogers

rogerAug 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Out of the White House, former social secretary Desiree Rogers is all set to join the Johnson Publishing Company Inc as its chief executive officer. The news was declared by the Johnson CEO Linda Johnson Rice who declared that Desiree Rogers will be taking over the daily operations of the Johnson Publishing Company Inc. that publishes Ebony and Jet magazines. Linda Johnson Rice praised Desiree Rogers as a person who is full of confidence and is business savvy as well. While the former White House Social secretary will be taking the care of daily operations as the CEO, Linda Johnson Rice will remain the chairman of the Company.

Desiree Rogers has reportedly mentioned that she would like to expand the horizon of Ebony and JET magazines. She wants to bring some changes into the area of the licensing of these magazines and publications of the company. Desiree Rogers has said that she would try to do anything possible to bring the company and its products to the limelight and would look into sections like marketing of Fashion Fair cosmetics line of Johnson Publishing Company Inc. She also intends to expand the website presences of the company’s publications.

Although Desiree Rogers has no publishing experience as such in her career as of yet, she maintained that she understands the working of distribution and wholesaler relationships. She added that she understands how to position a magazine for sale. Desiree Rogers had worked for a company once 20 years ago that owned newsstands. Although there is no doubt about the fact that her social connections will come handy, Desiree Rogers has maintained that she does not intend to use her social-connections for her new duties.
