Feb 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The President and Chief Executive Officer of a convenience chain based in Dallas, called 7-Eleven, Joe DePinto, was the latest boss to go undercover as an employee in “Undercover Boss,” the reality series aired on CBS. The episode was aired in CBS on Sunday, Feb 21 at 8 in the evening. As usual, it was a fun filled show, with the employees not recognizing the big boss, and the big boss finding both faults in the implementation in the company policies and inspiration in some of his subordinates. Joe DePinto visited several of the outlets of the company in Long Island, going incognito as a newly appointed employee.

Joe DePinto’s brief stint as an employee in is own company was an emotional one. While on the one hand he found out that some of the policies that he had pulled up were not being implemented in reality, on the other, he also realized why and how 7-Eleven managed to make such good business. He had none to thank but his workers for that, some of whom were really inspiring, and moved him with their stories and dedication to the workplace.

For example, he came across Dolores, the coffee table waitress, who knows by name all the customers that walk through the doors of the outlet. Then there is Igor, who works as the delivery boy to the company, and wishes to open up his own 7-Eleven store someday. Joe DePinto camouflaged himself behind glasses, a fake beard, and an orange smock meant for trainees. According to him, he had gone on Undercover Boss in order to find out how well the “reverse pyramid strategy” works in his company.
