Jiangsu Group tops list of China’s top-500 private companies (Lead)
October 12th, 2010 - 10:23 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, Oct 12 (IANS) China’s largest privately owned steel company Jiangsu Shagang Group has topped the list of its top 500 private companies in 2010, a media report said Tuesday.
With a revenue of 146 billion yuan ($21.9 billion), the group topped the list for the second year in a row, China Daily reported.
The Suning Appliance Co. Ltd., the country’s largest electrical appliance company, with 117 billion yuan, and Lenovo Group Ltd., makers of personal computers, with 106 billion yuan, in that order ranked second and third.
The results of the research on domestic private enterprises were jointly released by China Non-Governmental Enterprise Directors Association and Enterprises Development and Research Centre of China Academy of Management Science.
The revenue of the top 500 private enterprises totalled 4.7 trillion yuan, up 15.38 percent year-on-year. Total assets amounted to 3.9 trillion yuan, a growth of 38.76 percent year-on-year, while fixed assets totalled 1.7 trillion yuan, up 21.75 percent year-on-year.
