Jet Airways launches Mumbai-Kathmandu service
December 2nd, 2009 - 5:56 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Mumbai, Dec 2 (IANS) Jet Airways Wednesday launched a new service connecting Mumbai with Kathmandu.
The flight will operate five days a week (except Tuesdays and Saturdays), departing Mumbai at 8.05 a.m. and the return flight arriving here at 2.40 p.m.
In order to attract vacationers during the Christmas holidays, the airline has introduced a promotional return economy fare of Rs.7,500 plus taxes till Jan 15.
Presently, Jet Airways operated two flights daily on the New Delhi-Kathmandu sector while JetLite, its no-frills subsidiary, operates a daily service on the same route.
“With 26 flights per week to the Nepalese capital, the Jet Airways group now offers the maximum number of flights between the two countries, making it the largest amongst all foreign carriers,” Jet Airways chief executive Nikos Kardassis said.
