Washington, Apr 11 (ANI): Rapper Jay-Z will definitely play at this year’s Glastonbury festival, confirms the events organiser Michael Eavis.
Earlier, reports were making rounds that the US rapper was planning on pulling out of his headline slot and Prince was being lined up to replace him.
However, Emily, daughter of Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis, told the Mirror that the reports were untrue.
“I spoke to his production people yesterday and everyone is gung-ho and totally upbeat about Jay’s appearance here. Obviously, there’s been a lot of hoo-ha about it elsewhere, but the response we’ve had from the public has been incredible,” Contactmusic quoted her, as telling the newspaper.
“We’re just so excited that we’re having a legend on the farm and the overwhelming reaction we’ve had has been really positive, theres a real buzz.
“But we’ve been coming up against some underlying ill-feeling from certain quarters that we don’t really understand, she added.
Glastonbury festival is due to take place between June 27th to 29th at the Eavis’ Worthy Farm in Somerset. (ANI)
