IVRCL quarterly profit plunges 24.6 percent
May 30th, 2011 - 6:16 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, May 30 (IANS) Infrastructure firm IVRCL Limited Monday reported a 24.6 percent decrease in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31 at Rs.64.25 crore against Rs.85.25 crore during the like period of the previous fiscal.
The total income, however, rose 8.56 percent at Rs.2,052.21 crore during the period under review against Rs.1,890.41 crore during the same period of the previous financial year, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The company has also bagged orders worth Rs.893.66 crore for execution of water, buildings, power and transportation works.
The water division bagged orders worth Rs.294.74 crore from Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited, Tabreed-National Central Cooling Company, Kolkata-based Haldia Energy Limited and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited.
The building division won projects worth Rs.517.46 crore from the Gujarat government, NTPC, NeST Realities India Limited, Bengal Shristi Infrastructure Development Limited, Shri Vile Parle Kelavai Mandal, Hindustan Dorr-Oliver Limited, Krishnabhakta Griha Nirman and Rites Limited.
While the power division secured contracts worth Rs.44.18 crore from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation ltd, the transport division of the company was awarded orders aggregating Rs.31.28 crore.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company closed up 1.52 percent to trade at Rs.70.30.
